This one's pretty stunning!
A collectable and rare Yves Saint Laurent necklace dating to the 1980s.
Designed in collaboration with jewellery designer Robert Goossens it is from the YSL 'Braque collection' launched as the the 1988 Haute Couture Spring-Summer show which was inspired by the bird artworks 1988 of Georges Braque. See images of the artwork and fashion from the collection.
This gold plated metal necklace features textured doves in differing positions meeting at the centre 'beak to beak. Doves are known as a symbol of peace.
It has a large covered spring ring clasp which carries the YSL logo on the clasp and as a separate tag. It is also stamped 'Made in France' to the back of the clasp.
It's length can be lengthened or shortened along the length of the chain (see measurements below).
It is in excellent condition.
