This is an interesting metal mesh bag from the 1970s by Whiting & Davis.
In a mottled brown colour often called 'tortoise' or 'coffee bean' brown it is made of linked metal pieces.
It's opening and closure is on a tensioned metal frame which opens on pulling the gold metal pull tabs on either side of the bag and closing by pushing back together. It has a satin fabric lining.
It is in good vintage condition. The outside of the bag is excellent. However the lining towards and at the bottom has black marks (make up probably). I have not attempted to remove these but have reflected the condition in the price.
