This is a 1970s sleeveless shift dress by Berkatex. It is made of Tricel (a popular synthetic fabric of the time designed to imitate silk).
The floral multicoloured print is set on a black background and features boteh motifs (paisley motifs). It has a nylon zipper down the back and a high roll neckline that fastens with hooks and eyes. The front of the dress features a downward 'V' shaped panel (2.5ins/7cm wide) which runs from the the armholes to the waist at the centre.
A simple dress which could be worn with a warm knitted top or jacket. A good wardrobe staple that can be worn in various ways.
It is washable and is in excellent condition.
