This is a gorgeous two piece set by David Neiper which we believe dates to around the 1970s/80s.
In a pretty pink polyester chiffon it comprises a full length (maxi) sleeveless nightdress and a long sleeved dressing gown to match.
Nightdress
This has a deep V neck to the bust with a hook and thread loop at bust level. The neck has a 1.75 ins double frill which sits over the plain edge of the dressing gown when the two are worn together (see pics).
There is an underbust draw string which can be drawn in to fit under the bust and tied at the centre. The upper bodice section is double fabric whilst the skirt is single fabric.
Dressing Gown
The dressing gown is long sleeved and features a 4ins double frill at the cuffs and hem. It has a deep plain edged V neck and fastens under the bust with matching chiffon fabric ties. There is elastication around the bodice at the underbust point where it ties. Again the upper bodice is double fabric whilst the sleeves and skirt are single fabric.
