Vintage Matryoshka Enamel Brooch

This is a very sweet and unusual brooch. 

It is a beautifully made metal enamel Russian Matryoshka doll. It features an orange enamel base with a design multicoloured enamels.

Matryoshka isderived from the Russian female name "Matryona" which means ' little mother'.

We believe it dates to around the 1970s/80s.

It has a pin to the back with an enlogated 'C' clasp. 

It is in excellent condition and is stamped in Russian to the base. Unfortunately we cannot make out the letters clearly.
