This is a stunning Chanel chain belt dating to around 1989.
It can also be worn as a statement necklace.
These vintage belts are becoming rare and harder to find.
Gold plated in 24ct gold it is a heavy and luxurious piece. As you would expect from that era of Chanel. (Since around 2008 Chanel no longer use gold plating on their belts or hardware).
It is one of Channel's classic designs featuring two medallions each with interlocking 'C's logo and the words 'CHANEL' and 'PARIS' with two suspended chains between. The chain is a heavy curb chain and the whole belt is gold plated in a deep rich gold tone.

There is a larger ring on the chain into which the fastening hook on the back of one of the medallions is designed to fit. This sits at a point to give a 33ins fit. However the belt can be hooked at any point along the curb chain to give the desired fit. See measurements below.
The belt is in excellent condition. It is fully stamped to the back (see image) including the stamps 'CHANEL' , 'MADE IN FRANCE' and the collection/series no. '28' which dates it to around 1989. It also carries the original Chanel swing tag and comes with the original box (note the box has a seal mark on the edge where an original adhesive label has been removed and some slight marks on the inner lid)
