Own a rare piece of fashion history. This breathtaking vintage statement necklace is an authentic, signed piece by the legendary designer Pauline Rader.
Known for her bold, heavy-scale runway jewellery, this 1970s creation features an exquisite Brutalist aesthetic with a deeply textured, organic, molten-metal finish.
The sculptural design showcases a substantial, two-tier configuration: a wide, contoured shield plate elegantly suspended from a double strand link chain, supporting a large, dramatically hammered teardrop pendant. It is a high-drama, collectible piece that serves as wearable art.
It is weighty and high-quality, typical of Rader's haute couture runway construction. It carries the Pauline Rader signed plaque on the back of the teardrop pendant.
It is in excellent vintage condition. It features a spring ring clasp which fastens into a single link chain. The gold finish remains bright, rich, and lustrous.
Because Pauline Rader operated a smaller, boutique production scale compared to giant contemporary manufacturers, her massive statement necklaces are increasingly rare and fast-appreciating assets in the vintage jewellery market. This particular silhouette balances raw, industrial Brutalist textures with classical elegance, making it perfect for collectors or high-fashion stylists.
