This is a 1960s Youthlines Q for Mary Quant black stretch body with detachable suspenders. Apart from being wearable this piece is also rare and collectable. The V&A museum hold a white version of this body suit (without it's original suspenders) in their Mary Quant fashion textiles collection. This can be viewed via this link:

It is made from a synthetic stretch fabric and has bra cups with are double thickness sheer organza like fabric. The V&A collection describe the fabrics as stretch jersey and nylon. It has a reinforced front panel and has the Mary Quant black and white daisy logo at the front.

  • Hooks and eyes closure at the crotch

The 'Youthlines' label by Mary Quant, which featured bodystockings and related garments, was produced between 1963 and 1966.
The 'Youthlines' range included garments like the bodystocking with an appliqué daisy motif. This line was part of her expansion into more accessible, mass-produced fashion during the height of the "Swinging Sixties" and often coincided with her 1963 "Ginger Group" lower-priced line and the 1966 launch of her cosmetics range.
