Meticulously tailored from a luxurious Italian woven blend of virgin wool and cashmere with an inclusion of nylon for durability, this piece offers a soft hand-feel, a heavy elegant drape, and unparalleled winter warmth.
This coat balances structured retro power-dressing with everyday functionality. It is double breasted with dramatic notched lapels and tortoiseshell toned buttons. At the back is a classic tailored Martingale half-belt that emphasises the waist, giving way to a deep, fold over split that creates stunning movement as you walk.
Fully lined in a contrasting taupe/brown hue, this is a true staple piece built to anchor your cold-weather wardrobe for years to come.
It is in good vintage condition with just some minor small patches of discolouration to the lining (see images) and a few tiny spots where there is loss of pile. Most notably one just below the nape of the neck (see last two images). Apart from those minor issues the fabric nap is thick and plush with no noticeable pilling, thinning, or bald spots. The lining, stitching, and buttons are fully intact and secure. We believe it may have originally had three decorative buttons at each sleeve. There are now only two. However this does not detract from its appeal.
The price reflects the condition.
Made in England from a premium Virgin Wool (70%,) & Cashmere (10%) and nylon (20%) blend (Woven in Italy) it is fully lined. It should be dry cleaned only.
