This is a stunning Art Deco Duette brooch (convertible piece) made by Ciro of Bond Street, London, dating from the 1930s.
It's design and shape is typically Art Deco with an unexpected pretty floral design at the centre.
It has stamps on the frame of 'SCP' and 'ENGLAND'. The "SCP" mark stands for "Sterling Ciro Pearls," denoting solid sterling silver metal settings paired with high-grade diamond-simulation paste rhinestones. This hallmark was specifically utilized by Ciro to designate their premium, high-quality sterling silver collection.
This piece is in excellent condition with outstanding sparkle for its age. This reflects the quality of the brooch. The pin is slightly bent with age/use. However it does not affect its function. It has a roll safety clasp to secure the pin.
