This is a gorgeous original 1960s beaded cardigan. The colour is a buttermilk shade of cream. Whilst there is no yarn content label in the garment, we believe it to be lambswool or possibly a lambswool mix.
It is beaded in white, pearl and oyster pink. The pattern is floral with what looks like grape clusters in the oyster pink beads.
Typical of the era the body of the cardigan is lined with fine silk. Sleeves are unlined. The lining has a couple of small age marks. There were also a couple of small marks on one of the cuffs which have been beaded over using original and sympathetically matched beads. See images.
