This is a very pretty carved shell cameo brooch which can also be used as a pendant. The romantic subject of a seated winged fairy: a not often seen subject in a real cameo.
Set in a gilt goldtone oval metal frame it dates to the late Victorian/Early 20th century. It also has a safety chain pin attached.
It would make a lovely gift or an unusual addition to a cameo collection.
