This is a Spirella soft pale peachy pink coloured part lace longline bustier bra.We believe it dates to the 1960s.
It has boning to the front centre, under the bust and to the side and back panels. The cups are also wired/boned.
The cups are double layered with the top half layers being separate. There is also a lower fine lace edged shaped insert which sits under the bust. This appears to be cotton. See images of internal view of cup.
It is constructed mainly from nylon and lace with wide elasticated mesh back panels designed with a low back. It fastens with an 8 double hook and eye strip at the centre back which gives adjustment of 1.25ins on the hooks.
Tape loops at the back and at the front sides of the bust cups allow the sets of satin ribbon straps (0.625ins wide) to be fastened over the shoulders or in a halter style using the longer ribbon strap. They are all fully adjustable on hook slider bars. See images
The inner labels are 'Spirella Made in England' and a laundry label.
It has no size label but is stamped '384 A' on the lining of the front boned channel. Our research indicates this is the model number (Spirella had an extensive numbering system) and this would date this piece to 1967.
In excellent condition and appears barely worn. The two tape loops at the back show some little signs of wear where the fabric has been slightly caught by the hooks. See images.
