Dating to the 1960s, possibly late 50s, it features a large cut glass amethyst coloured stone at the centre. When it catches the light the cut glass reflects the colour and geometric spiral pattern beautifully!
It is set in a striking open work gold tone metal leaf like frame.
It has a pin to the back with a roll safety clasp.
Note that being glass it's heavier than a normal brooch. So perhaps not one for your flimsier tops or knits! More suited for a jacket or coat.
