Red Lace Dress 1950s
A real 'Lady in Red' classic!
Dating to the 1950s, this is a pretty handmade dress in red floral patterned lace with a satin shaped inset hip panel to add that little bit of interest.
The dress is fully lined, featuring a square neck to the front and gently rounded lower neckline to the back. The satin hip panel is curved at the front and straight at the back. it has a the original metal zip set in the back of the dress.
Shown both with and without a petticoat to illustrate the shape of the skirt which is very full and flares from the hip panel. The skirt would stand out even further with a fuller stiffer petticoat.
Note: The dress does not come with a petticoat.
The condition is excellent
